Sacral Chakra

Have you ever been around people with a personality that they are so positive, and you can just feel-good energy coming off of them? They are people that love who they are and are always comfortable no matter what situation they are in. These are people that are balanced in their mind, body, and soul. People that have this kind of personality probably have a very balanced sacral chakra. This allows them to be open and honest with the world around them and allows them to love life to the fullest.

The sacral chakra or the Svadhisthana is the place where your emotions lie. It is located in the pelvic area and below the navel. This is a place where you can create things, have strong emotions, and find passion and pleasure in all that you do.

If your sacral chakra is unbalanced, you might feel cold and hateful towards others. You might be clingy and needy, and you might be too dependent on people around you. If you find that you are overly sensitive and that you are not pleased in your sexuality, you might find that this chakra is unbalanced. It can also cause you to have other problems such as:

  • Depression
  • Conflict
  • Drama
  • Kidney issues
  • Gynecological situations
  • Pain in the lower back
  • Sexual Problems
  • Addictions

Balancing the Sacral Chakra

The sacral chakra is the place where your emotions are, and this means that it is probably out of balance here and there. It is important to take care of this and to balance your sacral chakra as soon as you see there is a problem so that you can stay healthy and strong.

Inner Child

One way to balance your chakra is to make sure that you let your inner child out. If you are always hiding your inner child and you are never feeling creative or happy then your sacral chakra will be blocked.

Being free like a child is important. Go in your room and turn on some crazy music, dance, say things out loud, chant, do something to release your inner child and have fun.


Another way to balance your chakra is to do yoga. Since the sacral chakra is located in the pelvic area, do yoga exercises that will get your hips moving.

If you feel stressed and anxious, doing hip opening yoga exercises can help to get rid of the sacral chakra blockages and can help you to be stronger in your mind and body.

Let Go

You have to learn to let go of emotional things that are holding you back. If you are angry at someone or you are facing days where you are constantly stressed, then your emotions will get you down.

You have to figure out how to do creative things to let your emotions come out and not to hold them in. Do not block your emotions but let them come out by writing, doing art, painting, singing or something else that makes you feel happy and calm.

Keeping your emotions in can cause you to feel depressed and stressed in your life.


Make sure that your sacral chakra is unblocked and strong. Do this by letting go of your emotions, releasing your inner child, being creative, having fun and letting yourself live a happy and peaceful life.
